Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer

Jerry Wharton is the Chief Executive Officer and a founding shareholder of Church House Investment Management. He is also the Chief Investment Officer and manages the Church House Investment Grade Bond Fund and the Tenax Multi Asset Fund. Jerry is a Fellow of the CISI (FCSI) and holds FE fundinfo Alpha Manager status, something he has achieved ten years running, placing him in the Alpha Manager Hall of Fame

Before joining CH in 2004, Jerry spent 14 years in the City on the sell side in the Gilt market, founding an independent Gilt agency basis desk before leaving to trade a multi-asset derivative book for 5 years.

James Johnsen

Director and Head of Private Clients

James Johnsen is a director and founding shareholder in Church House Investment Management. Following a career in the army and industry, James joined CH in 2003 from Merrill Lynch where he was a senior private banker in the international private bank.  

James, who is a Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute (FCSI) and holds an MA in law from Cambridge and an MBA from Cranfield, has been instrumental in CH's strategic development and heads the Private Clients business unit.

Rory Campbell-Lamerton

Director and Fund Manager

Rory joined Church House in 2012 and is a Director and Head of the London office. He is a Fund Manager of Church House UK Equity Growth and the Church House UK Smaller Companies Fund. He sits on the investment committee and has been running UK and global equities since 2017. 

Rory is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and in 2018 he was named in Citywire’s Top 30 Under 30, class of rising stars in the asset management industry. Away from the office, Rory farms in North Devon.

Stephen Kershaw

Finance Director

Stephen is the Financial Director and Company Secretary of Church House Investment Management, joining the firm in 2013. 

Stephen manages the company’s in-house finances. He is a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
