In a great start to the new year, Portfolio Manager Craig Elsworth has passed Level 1, now a standalone qualification, of the prestigious CFA Program.

The program is run by the CFA Institute, whose mission is to lead the investment profession globally by promoting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence for the ultimate benefit of society.

Investing in people is a core part of the Church House strategy. This includes access to funding support for relevant qualifications plus time off for study and exams. The Directors encourage everyone to take up this opportunity for professional development.

Craig has been with Church House for 11 years. In that time, he has established himself as a dedicated professional who makes a valuable contribution to our goal of helping clients secure strong financial futures.

Not only did Craig pass the comprehensive exam that included topics such as financial statement analysis, equity investments, economics, and quantitative methods, but his result was also fractionally short of placing him in the top 10% of candidates worldwide.

Church House CEO and Joint Chief Investment Officer Jeremy Wharton commented on this achievement:

“Everyone at Church House is thrilled for Craig. Since progressing from an operations role to becoming a portfolio manager, he has consistently demonstrated a can-do attitude. This is matched with an extensive knowledge of investing, and this recent exam success is a testament to his expertise. We are delighted to have him in the business and look forward to seeing him develop further still in the years to come”.
