Dominic has been a main board Director of Church House since 2005 and became a Non-Executive Director of Church House Investment Management following the management buyout in 2010.
Dominic has, since 2003, been the Chief Operating Officer of The Cayzer Trust Company Limited, a private investment vehicle aggregating the bulk of the Cayzer Family’s interests in Caledonia Investments plc, an authorised investment trust with a market capitalisation of some £900 million. In addition to its significant stake in Caledonia Investments, Cayzer Trust maintains a portfolio of other quoted and unquoted equity investments and real property interests, and operates a Family Office for members of the Cayzer Family. Cayzer Trust holds a significant minority interest in Church House.
After reading Law at Jesus College, Cambridge, Dominic qualified as a chartered accountant with BDO Binder Hamlyn in 1992 and joined Caledonia Investments as Taxation Manager in 1993. He was admitted as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1994, and as a solicitor in 2000 following a secondment to Ashurst Morris Crisp. He is a director of a number of private companies, and has contributed various articles on company taxation and property law to a number of professional publications including The Cambridge Law Journal.
